I don't know about the cumin once I read that taco seasoning was a good substitute. Actually, I used Lowrys seasoning salt in place of the cumin, garlic pepper in place of the regular pepper, and the cayenne pepper it called for. It was very tasty if a wee bit salty. I'll probably decrease the Lowrys a bit and increase the garlic pepper next go round.
