***Ohhhh...is distracted by cute boys and gratuitous hair and face stroking***
What was the question?
Derm, yeah. I'm still trying to get a handle on it all but, from what I gather, I suppose it depends on whether there is any rash involved. Or itching. Is it an "itch that rashes" leading to a vicious cycle (eczema/atopic dermatitis) or just dry flaky skin?
Either way you go, an emollient like Eucerin is called for even though, from what I understand, some formulations can be greasy and take time to absorb (best use at night). But there may be other treatment options for something like atopic dermatitis/eczema.
And, of course, all the stuff you've probably heard already. Warm water, not hot (we have got used to daily, hot showers but it isn't the best for skin), staying away from harsh soaps/using gentle cleansers, bloting skin dry and moisterizing immediately after bathing, and using a humidifier are all supposed to be general treatment/prevention measures.
IDK. None of this comes from personal experience as I am still trying to understand how, at 41, I get a multitude of zits amongst my wrinkles? Seems a but unfair, dontcha think?
Questions don't bother me as long as no one is bothered that I am not a specialist....LOL.
Thank you so much for the link. I will have to try it out next chance I get!
