I love how I can buy into ghosts, angels, demons, vampires, wendigos, chupacabras, werewolves, and all manner of mythological, supernatural creatures but have difficulty with the sheer number of times those Winchester boys are thrown about, beaten up, knocked out, and otherwise injured without needing surgery, rehab, or physical therapy of some sort.

Oh, but they do give such good H/C!! All is hand waived and forgiven

That's half the fun! They're like little Energizer bunnies.

Ahahaha, we do that at our house, too, though admittedly with different shows. Usually with Criminal Minds. Oh, yeah, Derek Morgan took a bullet straight to the chest and then tackled the guy to the ground, because of course he didn't feel A THING since he was wearing his vest.

I'm totally enamored with them, obviously.

I'm now working my way through the series again for the second time with no wait time in between and even though I knew it was coming at some point, when that truck hits the Impala, I about jumped out of my seat again.

And, I won't go into the whole lack of seatbelts....

It must be a side effect of working in the healthcare profession.

The sheer amount of stuff that I will just hand waive only to be, like, "Yeah, right. Uh huh." about the medical aspect of it all.

I'm all, "Okay, Sam, I understand that you've been possessed by a demon and was pert near done for when Bloody Mary tried to get you out of that mirror. I get it. I do. But, really, the sheer number of times that you have been throttled to the point of unconsciousness by the bad guys should have had some lasting repercussions, dude!"

Really Really Creepy

So, although I really just couldn't get into Merlin, I'm now addicted to Supernatural. I just watched the creepy Asylum episode in season 1. Lots of Arkham Asylum issues being brought to the fore.

Apropos your fembot "issue", I've always been freaked out by the episode of the Bionic Woman where she had to go down the dark stairwell with the hissing snakes. I hate both snakes and stairwells to this day.

Yay for addicting shows!

Yeah, this show does creepy imagery really well. Bloody Mary creeped me out because I can remember the local variation involving the Bell Witch and, in grade school, being dared to go into the bathroom, turn out the lights and repeat 3 times, "there's no such thing as the Bell Witch" while standing in front of the mirror. Supposedly, she would appear in the mirror or you would turn the lights on and find she has scratched you.

Plainly, I never took that chance. (Cut me some slack. I'd seen a ghost in the past! LOL)

Just wait till the next one, Scarecrow.

So, is it stairwells in general or stairwells that come with hissing snakes? I can't believe that I can't remember that particular bionic woman episode. I loved that show.

Both stairwells AND snakes, hissing or otherwise. I'm even freaked out by the stairwell at NAH! When I'm out there alone, I hate to even walk past it!

Today is my first day of 7/7 in Leigh's running program. We'll see how that goes!

Good for you! Wow, when a minute seems like a long time, 7 minutes seems like an eternity!
