I'm pretty boring, but, whatever...

I'm patting myself on the back, here, to say that I am still managing to avoid the spoilery (for two shows, now).

Go me.

This week, I took a brief break, teevee wise, from my unending love for SPN and fulfilled a promise to my friend, scarym1, to give White Collar a go (cause I'm just cool like that and, plus, it went Netflix streaming)

I must say that I'm enjoying it very well thus far. 

Is it very pathetic that this is pretty much the only thing new with me? How boring can one person actually be?!? Even I am pretty much over me.

Ah well, how about I share a bit of lovely and a song or two. How about that? (FYI this is an official vid...not a fanvid.) Now, I'm sure you all know why I watched this vid in the first place. I've never even heard of this band before now but I think the song is pretty cool. It certainly won't be the first time I've discovered new music because I'm a fangirl and it won't be the last.

And yet another song I am loving from the new Linkin Park "album"....

So, partly because I'm mooching Leigh's Netflix, I'm probably watching more television than I've watched since the first Reagan administration. In addition to Dr Who, I'm a confirmed fan of The Walking Dead and The Game of Thrones. I was watching the Tudors, but it got just too raunchy. I'm sticking with Supernatural, mostly so I'll not be out of the loop.

I laughed out loud at your comment about the Reagan administration. Where are you with SPN? I figured there might be developments that you'd find intriguing but I don't want to spoil if you haven't got there, yet. But don't worry about not being in the loop with SPN as I'm the only one into it at the moment. (what else is new?) I watched the first disc from GoT and was intrigued but haven't watched any more. I watched the first three episodes of Walking Dead but haven't watched any since. I also watched some of The Tudors and didn't finish that, either. I seem to be rather ADD with my TV, either totally obsessed or "meh".

Well I'm still in the first season. There's no real story arc yet other than the missing father. I just finished the episode set in St Louis (shout out!) with the whole shape shifter slimy thing. I'm going to persevere (Hey, I even go to the end of Battlestar Galactica and that REALLY jumped the shark towards the end).

Ah, okay. You haven't really quite reached the point where the mytharc starts cranking up. I'll just say there is more to the story than meets the eye, initially. To its credit, the show does mystery/reveal in a way that makes you want to know more but does not become irritatingly convoluted with little payoff a la Lost or BSG. At least I think so but, obviously, I'm a huge fan.

Oh yeah, I've made it to the second season of White Collar. We can discuss more (if we have time) this weekend.

I hope you give SPN a few eps. I loved it from the get go but, if I had to pick the episode that sealed the deal on my fannish obsessiveness, it would be the episode, Home, in the first season. Much like Farscape, I tell people, assuming you don't completely detest it, Give it at least one season.

As for having a boring life...well, I think it's all relative. I feel like I'm on the other end of the scale. A lot of what is happening around me is interesting to me, don't know if anyone else would care LOL.
