Week in review.
Dec. 22nd, 2005 12:47 pmWell, I have to say that I have had a terrific few days off AND managed to accomplish everything I set out to do which is a Good thing since I am next off on Christmas Eve. I want to thank everyone for the lovely Christmas cards and Newsletters and Pics that were sent. It's nice to be eying the mailbox in anticipation. I was very excited to receive a card today from someone with whom I hadn't chatted in ages!
I finished my shopping Saturday and Sunday was the children's program at church. Poor Brandon, all of the youth are either pretty young or teenagers. There seem to be very few that are his age. But, he doesn't seem to mind and he participated with the younger children as though it were nothing. I was very proud of him for that. And, as usual, the adults put on their own very funny skit. The pastor also surprised us with a powerful reminder of what Christmas is all about. At first I thought he had made a vid and was all excited about that but no, he had started a DVD of The Passion at a certain scene and accompanied it with the song, Mary, Did You Know. Very powerful stuff! (and a really good idea for a vid....hummmmmmm)
Monday was my co-worker's annual Christmas party at her home and, as usual, she had it completely decked out. I asked her how long it took to put out her decorations and she said, three and a half days! It was a lovely party and I ate too much. In fact, it seems that I am making a bad habit of eating too much and exercising too little over the past couple of weeks. Gah, the holidays get me every time because everywhere you turn there is pure culinary decadence...LOL!
Since then, I have been attempting to get my house (and laundry!) in some semblence of order before I have my family over for Christmas breakfast. Of course, I did take some time out to watch MS in CSI. While I certainly enjoyed seeing him (yowza), I really don't understand the popularity of this show. Yawn! For some strange reason, I didn't receive one of my Netflix shipments. I didn't receive the disc for Farscape eps 7,8, and 9 although I did receive the other two discs which had eps 10,11 and 12,13. Bah! So yesterday, I got tired of waiting and watched anyway, despite watching out of order. Scratch and Sniff had me literally ROFL!
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
