Jan. 3rd, 2006 08:08 pmWell, it has been a few days since I last updated and I am pleased to report that I am back to my usual cheery self..LOL! (whew, that's a relief!). My house is clean and the decorations have been put away for another year.
Brandon went back to school today so play time is over for him, poor thing. He was in the bed by 6pm..LOL. I haven't really been too busy since I have been off. I have been getting back into the exercise routine...well, the routine for when I am off seven days. I haven't quite figured out a routine for when I am working that wouldn't cut into my already decreased sleep time. I didn't make any Resolutions, really. I'm trying to kick that habit ;-) Of course I always want to shed a few extra pounds but, let's face it, I am woefully inept when it comes to rigidly following a diet.
It doesn't take much to excite me, it would seem, because today I had to go buy a new cordless phone. Mine has died. I picked one out that I felt I could afford and when I got to the checkout counter, it was on sale for $19.99. I was so excited about this turn of events that I just had to call my Mom and report my good fortune...LOL.This almost makes up for the infamous coffee pot incident! Let's hope the thing works when it is fully charged. Then later, I received my replacement Threads DVD in the mail. I guess it's the replacement. It looks just like the original.....
I have begun to read some of the wonderful books I received for Christmas. The one I am reading now has an intro (Forward? Just what are those passages called anyway) that has a few excerpts from The Lady Of Shalott. "I am half sick of shadows." Poor dear. Sometimes I can really relate.
I watched some Farscape this evening. The Choice made me cry! Sniff, sniff.
Well, that about sums it up. I will have to wait till Monday to watch Sci-Fi Friday (gah!) but I did watch that sneak Galactica Peek and it all looks very exciting.
