This and That
Aug. 7th, 2009 07:10 pmIt has been a busy week, what with school starting Monday and this being my M-T-W week. So far, Brandon seems to be adjusting to High School pretty good. He loves his biology class as I think that teacher started off with fun things right off the bat. It was the class I worried about because Brandon has it with one of his friends that he has been known to get in trouble with. In fact, when we attended the orientation we were all sitting at the back table and they started whispering and she gave us all a stern look. I felt like I was back in school and was sitting at the troublemaking table..LOL. It's funny how just being in that environment with all the other kids and the parents you went to school with can transform you into the awkward, self conscious person you were as a teenager. And though my confidence has increased over time, I still feel like a big buffoon in many social situations. Anyway, I told Brandon that they'd be separated the VERY first day and, whaddaya know, he came home one day with some kind of character award ticket that they give out instead. I hope it continues.
I have been working on arranging my preceptorship and these people are annoying me. I called several times before the HR person would even call me back. Then, she wanted me to e-mail her all of the requirements and hours I'd be available. I did that immediately upon getting off the phone and I still haven't heard back. Gah!
I started watching Chuck last night and was sucked in with the first episode. I lost track of how many times I laughed out loud while watching it! Chuck is certainly lovable and Adam Baldwin's Casey really made me laugh. I fell out when he was chasing down the Buy More shoplifter. Now, I can't wait to get the next discs in my netflix queue.
