Mission: Organization!
I have much waiting in the way of entertainment! I still haven't watched Atlantis or BSG, though I managed to record the latter on a repeat showing, and I received the former thanks to a download from scarym1 (it's not letting me add the lj user..new menu not fully operational perhaps?) which really saved me where "Off the Grid" was concerned. (Very enjoyable but not the caliber of "Ethon"). I am reading Pride and Prejudice because many friends on my f-list have read it since adulthood and LOVE it. I haven't read it since High school. Hey, guys, my favorite character is Mr. Bennett, by the way. Yes, I am a hopeless romantic...NOT. No, really, he is my favorite character....LOL! There is also a mythology book I am reading concurrenty. Besides the typical sci-fi fare, I also have several "Mystery Diagnosis" and HGTV programs to watch.
Now, you may ask, where am I going with this. My point, to which I will get eventually, is that I have all this fun stuff to do...even moreso than normal, and what am I doing? Organizing everything instead. I have thrown away every plastic CD holder that I own, kept the jackets, and organized them alphabetically in one large CD case. I have gone through all my papers and pitched what I don't need and organized what I do need. Brandon has his own file for report cards and other memorabilia. I wonder what has gotten into me..LOL! Oh well, maybe it will extend to the closets ;-)
I also paid off my vehicle today! Wheeeeee. It's all mine now. Time for it to fall apart. I still had a few more months but thought it would better serve me to use part of my tax refund in this manner. I am also seriously considering the idea of going back to school to get my MSN. If I make it through the admissions hoops and hooplah then we will know I am serious. If I am too lazy to do all that crap, then it really isn't the time. I just think it would be nice if someone would pay me to go to school....LOL. I am NOT relishing the idea of spending all that money and/or borrowing money.
Brandon finally let me cut that mop off his head. He looks sooooooo much better. Of course, he is well blessed in the way of hair so it took the poor girl over an hour to cut his hair. Then, I had grocery shopping to do and was running late the entire rest of the day.
I am looking forward to an outing for Tea with dm_lunsford and de23 tomorrow! Wheeeeeee.....
And finally, I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day. And thanks to soniag for the virtual rose. I don't really pay too much attention to this holiday anymore although it is my wedding anniversary and had tragic events not intervened, I would have been married thirteen years! THIRTEEN! Gosh, I am getting old! I took the wedding tape and Brandon's first birthday tape to Walgreens for sendoff to transfer them to DVD. VHS tapes only have so much life expectancy, after all. Both recordings, which I managed to watch without blubbering (GO ME!), were still in pretty good condition so I hope the DVD/VCD/ whatever it is will have at least the same quality.
Go You! : )
Congrat on paying off the car. (((HUGS for Glenda's Car)))) so it will stay in great shape for the next few years. : )
Going back to School can be on one hand quite exciting but also a bit scary when finances are a concern. I have been looking to do the same for a few years. I finally came across what I think could be it. A series of computer classes(5) that I would take over the next 6-9 months. Depending on whether I want to take one or two courses a month. The only problem is I would have to borrow the money from my Brother. That is not really a problem. He did offer to help me a couple of years back and this is definitely cheaper than the first idea I had. So I am going to call him this weekend and talk to him about it. March 6 is when the courses for the spring sememster are posted. I can also register on that day.
My parents were married on Valentine's Day. I always thought that was quite romantic.
Re: Go You! : )
I didn't really get married on Valentine's day for romantic reasons, rather, it was a holiday and I thought, "what better time to have a wedding". I actually would have loved to get married in the fall but that would have meant a wait. I shouldn't say that I am not romantic, rather that I have different ideas than most at what constitutes "romantic".
I did start the application process yesterday. The program is mostly online except for the clinical aspect which would work well since I HAVE to work. If I do go through with it, I hope I have the discipline needed to maintain and online study course.

Congrats on paying the car off. I remember when I paid our car off, I was telling the lady at the post office and everything.
Glad to hear Brandon agreed to the hair cut. I really didn't think it looked too good over MLK weekend. Is it real short now?
And happy Valentine's Day, as much as it can be. Hard to believe, 13 years. Wow.

Brandon's hair was terrible but I had told him he could let it grow out, as much as it pained me..LOL. It's pretty short but not buzzed, which is a haircut he doesn't want any longer. You can't put gel in and style that. *snicker*
