Yawn

Good morning...or is it good night? ;-)

I am sleepy this morning but not as bad as usual so I should be good to watch Friday's Gate. As for Atlantis, I never got around to watching last week, nor the week before come to think of it since I *still* haven't downloaded. And, since I am really bad about reading people's reaction posts even though spoiler space is amply provided and I KNOW I shouldn't peek, I may just skip last week's Atlantis since many seem to think it was horrid and move right on to Setada which seems to have been received well.

I am drinking this diet Lipton green tea, citrus flavor, and it is the best thing....

Last week I finished The Secret Life of Bees and predictably blubbered through the ending. I felt all of the characters were very vivid and the author captured the southern setting beautifully. I laughed. I cried. What more can I say? I tried to find those recommendations that were given to me in an earlier post but found none of them in my local library. Not exactly unexpected in this small town..LOL.

I was very pleased to receive Farscape Season one, collection one, of the Starburst editions and had so much fun watching the first few episodes with a  full knowledge of what is to come. I felt a fair amount of glee while watching that I suppose can only really be felt during a second viewing. You know how it is, you know enough to know the basic story but you haven't watched so many times that you are quoting dialogue and discussing different season hairstyles. It is still fresh without being new.  It is nice to be able to focus more on the character interactions and small nuances of performance since you don't have to be trying to integrate both character and story all at the same time.  I love fish out of water John so much that I think they did away with him a little prematurely. I think he became acclimated a bit too soon but that may be just me and for most other people that would have worn thin quickly.

I am still enjoying Alias and Veronica Mars, the latter of which has become very intriguing of late. But, sometimes I do have to laugh. I mean, really.  I know absolutely no one from my high school years who could have come close to her level of  coolness. And what a wardrobe she has!! Plus, what's with all these kids running around in school with cell phones? But you know me, I am pretty good at getting into the moment, suspending a bit of disbelief, whatever, when I really like a show.

Now, for a totally unrelated public service announcement. People should always check out any headache that is very excruciating and ranks as the worst headache in your life. Most folks have heard or read this advice I am sure but I did see it actually play out last night when a woman came in and ended up actually having a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Most of the time a headache is just a headache but you never know......

Now, I am off to watch Gate.......

Oh, definitely, definitely skip last week's Atlantis ("Irresistible")!!!! It made me simply apoplectic with rage! Not a single redeeming quality!!!

And yay Farscape!!!! I may have to take in a season 1 ep or two to temper all the season 4 angst that I'm watching right now. *snuggles wee innocent John*

I love wee innocent John but I am enamored of angsty John as well. Wheeee....I'll be watching more tonight and I need to order the rest of season one. That and only two more Season 4 Starburst editions and my collection will be complete.

As for Irresistible, since I think it is a standalone, I will probably skip it. I might go back to it and I might not.
