Hugs all around

I want to thank my f-list for all of the warm and fuzzy virtual commiseration.

I have downloaded some APA formatting software that may cut some of the time. You spend a great deal of time figuring out how to cite what, typing the references, and making sure every comma and period is in the right place.

Referencing is a bitch, the bane of my student existance. I learnt early on write everything down for everything you look at (even if you dont use it, then stick it in the bibliography!) They would fail the piece if the references werent done right. BAh good luck with it all hun *hugs*

Yes it is!! I would use a quote and then learn that I needed a page number and have to go find it again!

Fortunately, they ascribe a certain amount of percentage of the grade to the format and not the whole thing so if I comma is in the wrong place, I am sure to be marked down but hopefully not fail.

APA software? Sounds very cool! I remember becoming quite familiar with that format when I worked at the Kennedy Center on Vandy campus a few years back when I had to do some extensive bibliography work for a while. But now I'd have to look it all up again to make sure I was formatting it correctly, so I know what a time consumption it can be. I hope this download works for you. ; )

It had been over 8 years since I had written a paper and I had to keep looking it up, when I could actually find what I was looking for. This program has templates for the paper itself and a feature that allows you to input the reference into fields and then it formats it for you. Hopefully, that application to the reference page alone will work wonders. I spent all day Monday at the "library", all day yesterday working on an assignment, and today and tomorrow I am free to tackle the paper. What Joy...;-)

Extensive bibliography work? Sound fun.....not!
