Well, let me see if LJ eats my post this time. I haven't had the opportunity to figure out my new camera entirely but that hasn't stopped me from taking a few photos. I couldn't really afford an SLR camera so I went for a way more affordable higher end digital camera. After doing a fair amount of researching, I chose the Canon Powershot S3IS. So far, I have been very pleased with both picture and digital recording quality and it even saves to .wmv instead of Quicktime, which is a huge plus in my book. I tried the color accent feature with Abby and the apple, trying to highlight the red in the apple while leaving the rest of the photo in black and white. However, it also picked up the red in her rosy cheeks so it didn't quite work as well as I hoped. I am looking forward to playing with it again soon. Of course, this camera is bigger than my previous digital but everything is a tradeoff, isn't it.

In this pic and the next I was trying to get a handle on actions shots, something I have never 
been very good at. In the second photo, I really like how her dress flairs out as she reaches 
for the balloon.

Aren't messy first birthday babies the best!! In the second photo, I love how her tongue flicks 
out to get the frosting.

Well,the yellow and white ones bloom first for me. I do have a multicolored one about to bloom so I might get another shot of that. Close ups, of course, don't show the weeds.

Abby is really adorable, though not as outgoing as Brianna. Brianna is hard to shoot these days because she is never still whereas Abby looks right at the camera.

I think my favorite is the close up apple pic followed by the icing/tongue shot..

I bought a digital camera a couple of years ago. It was very cheap and I have not been too impressed with it. Maybe one of these days I will take it out again and play around with some more.

Oooo pretty kitty! And the flowers are lovely. Very cute kiddies, I see what you mean about the eyes with the dark rings, very stunning. Nice piccies hun, looks like a fun toy!
