Well, I am back from Dragon*con. I arrived home yesterday at 8pm and today I had all sorts of running around to do. Plus, I have only received one of my textbooks and I have assignments due Friday! Eeeeeek! I actually took the one textbook I received with me to the con with the misguided illusion (delusion!) that I would actually find the time to read it. Uh huh. There were several days that I barely had time to eat and my theme song for this con would have to be "Torn Between Two (or More) Fandoms"  Really, it was very difficult to pick sometimes because I like Torchwood and BSG and Stargate and Red Dwarf and Firefly...all represented with actors from these shows. Eeeek!!  I actually didn't make it to a Stargate panel until Sunday. Can you believe that? The addition of the fourth hotel really enhanced crowd control but I was definitely hoofing it sometimes, especially on Friday where it seemed that I was walking back and forth between the two farthest hotels!  I didn't take as many photos as last year but I took a few. I have been working through them and hope to post some later on. I intended to have a more detailed post but have since realized that I don't have the time tonight! I basically decided to leave Thurday up since it was mostly driving anyway.

Thursday:
  • It took me two hours to leave town. I had worked the three days previous which left little time to get last minute stuff done so I had to finish packing, take the dog to Mom's, obtain cash, etc. I was well on my way  to [livejournal.com profile] de23 's home when I realized that I had forgotten my registration card and had to go all the way back home to get it.
  • Traffic was ferocious in Atlanta and we only arrived two hours after we intended. However, see above. LOL.
  • We met up with [livejournal.com profile] dm_lunsford and [livejournal.com profile] rosiewook  and spent just under two hours in the registration line. We had fun catching up so it went pretty fast.
  • Wow, watching Continuum on [livejournal.com profile] rosiewook 's fab home theater system was a real treat. Gate is great on the big screen!! I have to thank her again for letting us crash at her place!!

I hope to have more later on if I don't forget it all before then. Amazing how fast all those little details can fly from your brain.
