Surreal

This has been the most tragically surreal day I have encountered in a long time. Early this am, a local school bus driver was shot and killed by a 14 year old student! I knew her from the ball park where her son, a year older than Brandon, played Little League. She also has a daughter in the eighth grade. How horrible for that family!! There were also children on the bus ranging from kindergarten to high school age. I cannot imagine how it must have been for them. I don't know what to say really. It does make you want to lock your sprog in the house and never let him out! But, you can't live like that.

All I can say is WOW. That's very sad and you're right, surreal. I felt the same way when there was a bomb threat at the kid's school last fall. No one got hurt or killed though.

Makes you wonder what kind of a world will these little ones inherit?
