I had a blast at Dragon*Con!! The highlight for me, aside from having fun with friends, was finally getting to meet Ben Browder and Claudia Black. Now, I am more a fangirl than ever. (If that is possible!)

I'd like to get into more detail about the great time we had but I came home to a 20 page case study due on Tuesday, mounds of paperwork to upload before I can start clinical, an orientation in Nashville today at Matthew Walker, a dead laptop (I thought it was the power cord but hooking a new one up before buying it revealed that it still wouldn't even turn on), and a student loan check that appears to be lost in the mail. It is fortunate that my decreased hours at work haven't started, yet. Tomorrow, I will have to get up early for a CPR class. I have never understood why ACLS certification doesn't take the place of CPR renewal every two years. No, you have to have both (and PALS) every 2 years.

Maybe I will have time in the next few days to upload more pics.

Eee, you got a picture with BOTH of them!!! How awesome is that?!?!?

Not sure I'm loving Claud's tan, though. It looks a bit unnatural on her. Or maybe it's just the lighting or something (though you and Ben both look great).

It was made up of awesome!!!! I had a budget so there were no more pics or autos to be had but I didn't care, so full of squeee I was. I agree about the tan, though. It has a jaundice look to it and it's not something that happened when I scanned it.

He is lovely, isn't he. Oh, and Claudia, too ;-) As for the loan check, I called today. They seem to have had so many calls that they have called the post office to make sure there was no problem. The post office says no. It did make me feel better to know that I wasn't the only person with a problem. I worried that someone had taken it out of my mailbox or something. (what are the odds of that????)

Thanks, my dear! I am doing pretty well with the catch up and if I am as productive tomorrow, I may get ahead (shock). Of course, I am never ahead on the reading and once clinical starts my small margin of being ahead will transform into my being massively behind. No worries. (I am really trying to be proactive with regard to uncontrolled stress this semester.)

I still say that is the BEST con photo op picture ever! In fact, I'm pretty sure it was the sight of that photo which can be credited with the start of my Ben Browder luv fest! ; )
