The Visit.
Mar. 27th, 2005 11:33 amThis is the first chance I have had to update my journal in several days and I only have the time now because we had to skip church as Brandon is sick. He already had one bout with the 24-hour bug but it seems that another is making the rounds now. Sheesh. Poor boy. I managed to escape the last go round but I don't think I can possibly be that lucky a second time. Argh!
Anyway, I took K back to the airport yesterday. Sob, sniff...we had a great time but as Machello says in Holiday, "all good things come to an end". It always manages to end too soon. Having someone visit who isn't from your neck of the woods can sure make you appreciate your neck of the woods. Of course, we managed to have a Gate marathon while she was here. What visit would be complete without that!?! As you can see, Holiday was one of the eps we watched....LOL. We also saw a play, did some hiking at Fort Donelson, and visited The Homeplace. Friday was a terrific day for hiking and I am glad the sun did manage to finally show itself during her visit. Of course, the evening culminated with getting the chance to watch Sci-Fi Friday together. It is great to be able to watch Gate with a fellow *cough* enthusiast ;-)

I hope Brandon is feeling better. Twice with the crud is so not fair!

Sounds like you and K had a blast! Sorry to hear the little guy is under the weather again. Hope he's up and at it again soon.
