There can be only one......
Apr. 14th, 2005 07:13 pmWell, despite my coworker loaning me his Babylon 5 stuff,
de23 's loan of the Highlander saga has taken precedence...LOL! And, Brandon is really liking this show. I have thusfar been unable to impress upon him the wonder that is Stargate. Kids! No,he just makes fun of me, batting his eyelashes and saying in the girliest tone he can muster, "Daniel Jackson". I so do not sound like that!
But, of course, even though I planned to watch them in order, I couldn't help but watch episode 2.6 called The Zone. Some of you more Michael Shanks minded friends will of course KNOW that our lovely boy, and oh boy was he a boy, shows up in this one playing Jesse Collins in one of Duncan's flashbacks. Even with the 30's hair oil, those baby blues make me sigh. Snicker. I am such a fangirl!!!
Once again, I am playing spot the Stargate actor and, so far, I have spotted Gairwyn (don't know her real name), Peter Deluise (snort!), and that dear short curator in The Curse.
We are SUCH fangirls
Date: 2005-04-15 01:50 am (UTC)::giggle:: I can only imagine the stuff I'd have to put up with if a wee one were living around here - James can be bad enough sometimes, although for the most part he doesn't rib me too much about it all. ; )
This actually reminded me that Easter weekend we had some good friends (Mark, Pam, and their kids - our godchildren - Kassie and Georgia) to visit and, yes, Stargate was watched that Friday night. It was so funny because Pam kept telling Kassie that she couldn't interrupt "Aunt Michelle" during "her show" because there'd be this rather unpleasant transformation the likes of which she'd never seen in me before. And then while we were watching, at one point when Daniel's character did something (don't recall now what it was), I must have been a little too exuberant about it because Mark looks over and me and playfully chides, "So you like Daniel, don't ya?!" ; )

Date: 2005-04-15 04:21 am (UTC)It's funny the way the same Vancouver actors end up in all these different shows, and they're such cult shows that everyone always notices. I wonder why Colin Firth couldn't get any work there when he lived outside Vancouver -- wouldn't Colin in Highlander have been interesting? (ooh...sword fights!)
