I could seriously punch something right now. Today, as I was getting all of my tax stuff ready to go, I happened upon my sealed transcripts and realized that I had a couple of extras. So, I decided to take a look. I don't know why really but I am sure glad I did. I opened the envelope and about had a massive coronary when I realized that it contained the undergraduate transcript but not the graduate transcript!

IDIOTS!

I called them and they will have them today but, seriously? SERIOUSLY!?!

So, since all was lost, I opened another envelope and that one contained the graduate transcript.

It is required that I send these to the ANCC sealed, therefore, I have no way of knowing which one I sent as the envelopes WEREN'T LABELED!

IDIOTS!!!!

I have been stalking the mailbox daily waiting for the letter that gives me the go ahead to schedule the exam and all the while they may not have even had what they needed to process the application.

Well, it turns out that they had the right transcript after all but the other paperwork sent by the director of the program was the wrong paperwork. It is supremely frustrating because I have spent all this time unaware there was a problem.

I really think these hoops I'm jumping through are a wee bit redundant. The information on the validation form that is still needed is right there on my transcripts.

Well, that just takes the cake, doesn't it? How unbelievably aggravating! Maybe you did send the right one and your exam approval letter is even know winging its way to your mailbox...

Well, I picked up another set of transcripts yesterday and also called ANCC. Turns out that my transcripts are right but that the form finally sent by the director of the nursing school was the prescriptive authority form for the state licensing board and not for the ANCC.

So, I'm still out of luck. I called the director who has no idea where the validation form got off too, "I gave them to my secretary" (uh huh) but, supposedly, she can go online and fill out the validation form at the ANCC site.

And who knows when she will do that. I hate having to depend on the timing of other people to get things done. I may be a slacker at home sometimes (as evidenced by the pile of laundry begging my attention) and procrastinate with the best of them but when it involves work and something needing done, especially stuff that others are depending on, I just have to get it done asap!
