Fangirl Fun

Farscape Friday was great fun and we managed to not make it a total squee fest even if that is what we sometimes do best. [livejournal.com profile] de23  and [livejournal.com profile] scarym1 , I had a great time. We should have done this ages ago.

That being said, I am still looking forward to THIS upcoming attire.

And I so need to clean this house instead of oogling gorgeous pics online.

After chatting, I had an opportunity to watch Gwaine ....

and enjoyed the episode even more the second time around. It is nice to see Merlin make a new friend who doesn't throw things at him. That goblet looked like it might hurt! ([livejournal.com profile] archaeologist_d , I see where you got the inspiration for your story, Waiting, and I am using that as my 'explanation' for throwing things from here on out.). Despite all that,  this episode does highlight Arthur's growth as his own man and not just his father's son. I didn't appreciate that as much during my first viewing. Standing up for Gwaine and telling Gwaine that his "father is wrong" is huge character development and I wonder how it didn't make as much of an impression the first time around. Likely, I was overly distracted by the pretty. It happens. Alot. (See Crichton, exhibit A above)

Ah, but this scene gives me all sorts of gooey, "Awwwww"  happiness. Boys! (I can be such a sap! Hum...wish it was bigger.)

It was a lot of fun. I haven't been up that late on a Friday in ages. : )

So glad that my story is being used as an explanation! :DDD I agree that it was showing that Arthur was growing up and using his honorable side to tell Gwaine his father was wrong. I did really like the episode for a number of reasons, one of which that Merlin got a friend!
