So, I've been wanting to come on here and talk about Torchwood (WOW!) and the final six episodes of Fringe (ZOMG!) that I finally got caught up on but I've had NO TIME.

But yesterday, I had some time so I stalked LJ for the SDCC Merlin stuff, hoping to see the trailer. Unfortunately, it was a case of I HAVE TIME but I just don't feel like TALKING when it came to posting and whatnot.

Today, I'm back to NO TIME but I simply must SQUEE because I came home from work to see that some cool, awesome fan recorded the Merlin S4 trailer shown during the panel!!!!

I am SO excited! Roll on Series 4!!!!

What do you think of Torchwood? I've not had time to get into it properly yet.

I'm ok'ish with the re-location to the USA as long as they keep the Welsh charators and the fact that they are from Wales. If this does not continue i'll most likly stop watching and that BBC CYMRU WALES will have the integrity to pull out of the arrangment and take the show with them even if it means the end of Torchwood

Well, the main two are Jack and Gwen (and to a lesser extent, Rhys) but after the first one or two eps, most of the action is in the US so not too sure how you would feel about that. They do play on the differences between the US and the UK in a humorous, tongue in cheek way that makes me laugh every time.

I don't know why but I am totally girl crushing on Gwen in this installment. As much as I love Captain Jack, she is the real standout to me. Maybe it is partially due to the relocation and her being a stranger in a strange land of sorts. Whatever the reason, she will be joining Olivia Dunham (Fringe), Sam Carter, and Sydney Bristow (Alias) in my lineup of favorite kick butt women characters of all time!

I know there are going to be those who will dislike the transition no matter what and, I'll admit, it doesn't usually work out. Maybe because US folks who like watching shows from the UK don't really want them to be "Americanized" either. But I think this does work because you have Jack and Gwen, the mystery has that Torchwood feel and is intriguing enough to draw the viewer in, and some of the new characters are engaging as well. You just have to get to know them like in any series. (And not hold being American against them...lol)

And though I wasn't initially a fan of the Bill Pullman character, Oswald Danes, storyline (probably because I was wanting all Jack and Gwen all the time but also because I was disturbed by it) I will say that Bill Pullman should win an award for his performance in this.

Sorry for being lengthy! I guess I was in the mood to discuss.
