Music Re-discovery and looking for a vid.

Okay,

So I was playing some songs on shuffle the other day and I happened upon this song.

I remember really liking the song but I had forgotten about it. I'm pretty sure the first time I heard it was in a Stargate vid and, now, I really want to find that vid again. Any Stargate fans out there remember this? It was either a Daniel vid,  a Jack and Daniel vid, or a team vid. (Yeah, I know that really narrows it down, right? LOL!)

scarym1 and ruralstar, I think I am kind of counting on you but, hey, if there is anyone out there who knows which vid I am talking about, please chime in.

I would like to see it again. (So much so that it's sort of bugging me.)

Sorry it's not ringing any bells for me. I can see this for Jack or Daniel, but mostly Daniel. Good luck finding it!

Well, I think I may have discovered who made it but their site is no longer active. And it said it was a Daniel vid, though I keep seeing scenes in my mind from Cold Lazarus when Alien!Jack is going through Jacks things in his locker for the words

"in a box, high up on a shelf;
meant for you. No one else."

And, of course, I even think they had Movie! Jack's scenes where he is sitting in his son's room, holding a gun. (They edit it in a way that two different Jacks aren't readily apparent)

That is why I thought it was a Jack and Daniel vid.

(But maybe I just dreamed the whole thing up or am mixing two different vids together)

Of course, there could be more than one vid out there to this song.

We all saw so many vids during the height of the Stargate fandom that it was hard to separate them in our heads after a while LOL. I was very surprised to find my geocities pages still available when I went googling recently as geo is defunct. If you have a few extra minutes you might get lucky searching.

Heh, I was due for a couple of new Jack icons. I'm feeling the Jack/Mac RDA love lately with all the editing I'm doing for my own site. I actually made a MacGyver vid and I'm down to the last three stories that need posting, GTL and its sequels :) Ah, memories!

Cool on getting your site up and running!

I am continually amazed at all the free time I had then..making vids, reading fic, watching vids, and chatting online. Yes, I still do some of these things but not to the degree I did before.

Why is it different now? I should have more free time. Yes, my schedule is quite different but Brandon is more independent and has his own life, so to speak.

Oh I remember that song. It was quite the Angsty Daniel vid. I remember DLing it. Unfortunately I lost it when my computer crashed the first time about 6 years ago. Since then I have learned to back up everything.

If you know who the artist it, I could post on a couple of sites asking if they know how to get a copy?

I think the artist is Dragonfly who I happened to have in my e-mail contacts. I emailed her but did not receive a response. She may not even be online anymore. But if you happen upon that vid, let me know!

Yes, there is no rhyme or reason to what I have lost over the years. I still have some of the earliest vids I ever made but cannot find Behind Blue Eyes, which may be one of the last vids I ever made and the only one that is MIA. I have other folks vids that I saved over the years but some I don't. I think the problem is that some things were on the old laptop which failed spectacularly and without any warning.

I try to back up but I kindof suck at it. ATM, I usually sync stuff to an external hard drive but it has been so long since I checked that that who knows how that's working out for me or what I even have on it.

I still feel totally disorganized but I did spend an entire day on here sorting work, pics, music, and older school stuff into specific file folders and, since school ended, I, at least, no longer move between two different computers. Brandon has commandeered the laptop, which I never use anymore (even if I should get it and move files I saved on it onto this computer, and then back-up..LOL). I either hang out on the desktop or, when I want portable surfing and whatnot, the iPad.
