It has been so busy around here these past few weeks that I feel the need to hole up in the house today, even if the sun and water does beckon.

But, there's laundry. And dishes. And plans for a busy day tomorrow.

Vacation time is nearly upon me and I'm getting that unsettled feeling that I am, somehow, unprepared. It is true where next weekend's trip to Santa Claus, IN and Holiday World is concerned because I haven't even booked a hotel room and I am still uncertain as to how many of Brandon's friends will be going. But I have booked everything except the car park for my upcoming trip to Halifax/PEI

Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!

But, instead of doing that, I am all about my TV boyfriends, reading such things as I Hate You Jared Padalecki, which is HYSTERICAL (and potentially of interest to my married friends who also have TV boyfriends on the side). Apparently, Jared Padalecki  thought it was pretty funny, too.

I also watched Michael Shanks (one of my old TV boyfriends) new show, Saving Hope. And, because I am a total lazo, I'm going to snatch my reply to [livejournal.com profile] dm_lunsford's post about said show.

I actually enjoyed Saving Hope way more than I thought I would. I even managed to hand wave a few medical things that annoyed me. (Like why they just didn't get a urine pregnancy test on the girl to begin with. It is a differential diagnosis in someone with abdominal pain, after all.) I was also taken aback with them performing procedures/exams with no regard to privacy. Those curtains were open all over the place! And I felt the "she's so fat" comment was totally unnecessary.
With the exception of ER, I usually only watch medical shows that have something else going for it, like the hilarious Scrubs (which, believe it or not, was more true to life, even with all the absurdity going on). See exhibit A

Maybe this supernatural element will keep me interested in this show. Anyhow, I thought MS was looking pretty fine.  I do think it will totally suck to be in a tuxedo for the entire run of the show! He looked really good in scrubs and I think that might be an outfit we have never seen him wear. Those icky white things in Meridian don't count. LOL!  I don't want to like it too much as it will likely be cancelled.

Like Sanctuary! (Stupid SyFy Poopeyheads)

So, what to do. More Laundry? Book stuff? Or ogle TV boyfriends some more?

Ogling it is!

Ha! That link is too funny. Have a great time at Holiday World - you will love it! How I wish I was going to PEI with you, but alas, paying bills this month was even more excruciating then the last few, and I still have two months of no income to look forward to before I get my first school paycheck. *sigh*

Yes, I cackled quite a bit at that link, especially the image of orphans receiving adopted kittens with 20 dollar bills tied around their necks and the picture of the "average man" *giggle*

I booked the Santa Lodge today. It was closest and I figured may as well go with the theme.

I wish you were going to PEI with me, too! Maybe another time.

I hope you finally got the hotel thing booked! Sounds like fun, though. Have a great time at Holiday World.

Halifax/PEI! Love those places!

LOL! I did and, it's a good thing I did because there were only 3 rooms left (at Santa's Lodge) when I did. I found out why when I got there as it is this really small town with a huge amusement park/water park seemingly in the middle of nowhere and this was the only hotel fairly close to the park. In fact, I saw no other hotels close by.

Now, I'm excited about Halifax/PEI next week! I need a crash course from you on how to take amazing travel photos with "our" camera. (Since I still have yet to take the time to really play with the settings like I'd like to) I loved your recent set, especially the "self portrait." It was really cool how that one turned out.

Crash course is easy. Use the automatic settings. I think yavannauk uses the same settings for the most part. I find except for a very few times when I use manual, I just point and click.

Have fun. I'll be in France next week. :D
