Well, I knew I shouldn't have done it. I should have waited but I watched the season one finale of Farscape. (Well, what was I to do? I had finished the Potter book and somehow didn't record Dead Zone...again) Now, I need season two and thought maybe I should just buy it. (Sure sign that I am hooked but what is a girl to do when faced with that Crichton fella?) Who would have thought it was so expensive!?! Even the used box sets on Amazon are twice as much as I usually pay for the Gate boxed sets. I never realised how reasonable Stargate was until I thought to actually buy something else. Anyway, now I am bidding on ebay.
Speaking of which, my son has discovered e-bay. He comes online to search out game cheats and peruses ebay to look for Etnies, video games, and action figures...LOL. We started school shopping last Friday and he wanted some Etnies shoes. And so it begins! (Recognize that quote, Mary?) I wouldn't pay what they wanted for them so we compromised with some Phat Pharm shoes. ?????? I guess that is how you spell it (a sure sign that I am old and out of touch.) He is also wearing deodorant and has asked me to gel and spike his hair from time to time. Yet, he assures me that he isn't interested in girls. (Gross) and becomes quite agitated when I suspect otherwise. It really is a hoot. It is quite an adventure watching someone else grow up as you recognize all of this behavior but can view it from a different perspective. But, I am still dreading the teenage years. I am sure what is "awwwwwwww" now will quickly become "grrrrrrrrrrr" later on.

Date: 2005-07-19 07:16 pm (UTC)Farscape is cheaper than any of the Trek series btw. Which is why I haven't bought Voyager.
LOL on B growing up. D is right behind him. She's decided that mom should not be anywhere near her when it comes to dressing, showering etc. We've always been a very relaxed household but suddenly she has modesty. Nothing wrong with that but tis a bit disconcerting after the revolving door bathroom we've had over the years :)
