It's been awhile.....

gateslackerWell, I haven't updated in ages it seems so I thought I'd keep it simple.
Job:
good: I seem to have lost no ground by having a year long desk job, except its sad effect on my behind. First night back at the hospital showed me really quickly that "I still got it". I am glad to be back in the action.
bad: Trying (in vain) to resuscitate a three week old SIDS baby. Sob!
Health:
good: Still trying to exercise regularly.Yay.
bad: Not so good at the dieting. I'm still fat. You'd think after 36 years I would have become resigned to this fate. Oh well, I console myself with the fact that I have good hair.
Personal:
good: I made it through another yucky "anniversary".
bad: I lost track of my days (nights will do that to ya!) therefore, didn't even realise it actually was the yucky "anniversary".
good and bad: Parole hearing coming up Sept 7. I am not going this time and may never do so again. So there!
Offspring:
good: It's all good with the sprog after his rather painful medical malady. He is doing well in school and loves changing classes. He wants to go to a concert for his birthday (ack..already!) but I have decided he is too young. He took the news really well.
Social:
good: I had lunch with my Mom today and she was very excited about her date tonight. I am going to visit with friends ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif){kind=small}
soniag and de23 , among others, this weekend!
bad: Both my mother and my grandmother have more active social lives than me. Sad, but true.
Entertainment:
good: Sci-Fi Friday!! I'm lovin' it! I'm working on a new vid.
bad: What happened to movies? It seems that I have totally lost interest in them and, most often when I do watch one, I find an episode of Stargate or Dead Zone way more entertaining. Weird.
As for the world at large, the tragedy south of me makes some of my "bads" not really all that bad after all.

My computer has been acting up again. I am sooooo getting tired of that!!! I have a guy coming here Tuesday evening for a house call on my computer. It is a bit more expensive than takin it in but I think it will be worth it.

and to hell with dieting - lifes too short! right now i'm just happy that most of my loved ones are happy and healthy and hope that the ones who arnt will be soon.
