Birthday fun.
Dec. 12th, 2004 06:34 pmWell, I am officially 36. That really sounds older than it is, methinks. I had a good day. I got up and halfheartedly worked out. I was too ready to get it over with and get on with the shopping. Then I met the family at The Log Cabin and had breakfast at received some gifts, one of which was The Prisoner of Azkaban DVD..Yay! Since It was my birthday I decided that I was going to have a carb-o-rama. ALL DAY! So, for breakfast I had pancakes and hashbrowns. Yep, it don't get much carbier than that!
Then it was on to the shopping...woohoo. My sister decided that, since it was my birthday, she was going to sacrifice and go with me. We had a good time and she didn't rush me even once. She did have that moment where she conveniently forgot to take me by Pier One so I could look around but that was her only lapse. She patiently waited while I perused Kirklands (I love that store) and didn't roll her eyes one time when I had to hit every aisle at Walmart. I was proud of her. What can I say...I got all the shopping genes to be had. The carb-o-rama continued with one of Aunty Anne's scrumptious pretzels. YUM!
She went into Lifeway to find some new tracks to sing to at church and I went into Best Buy. I would love to be able to capture from my DVD's but, alas, I don't have a clue what I would need or even if my system is up to it. I have had this computer several years and it is old enough to not have a DVD-RW drive. Anyhoo, I saw many things that might fit the bill but wasn't sure how any of them would work. I hate knowing what I want to do but being too computer illiterate to do it! Grrrrrr. Then there is that ever so practical side of me that reminds me that VID MAKING IS A HOBBY! Get over it!
In any case, I am mostly done with the Christmas shopping and finished out the day by watching my new DVD. It was one of the best birthdays I have had in a long time!
