Work and Play

My house is clean and the laundry is mostly done. I decorated the house on Saturday, worked an extra shift on Sunday, went to the grocery store today so I think that qualifies me for some quality entertainment time! I have been watching The Triangle on sci-fi. I think it is pretty good. Is anyone else watching? I took a page out of soniag's book and joined Netflix. I decided that if you can cancel at any time, it would be worth trying out. That, and I am tired of trying to get Farscape where a used boxed season set is 70 plus dollars. I am too cheap for that! Plus, I got to thinking about all those things I may have missed in the past that I might want to go back and check out.
Oh, and they have movies ;-) (It's all about the tv shows....LOL)
I was pleased to receive third place in the Kawoosh Hip hop challenge. It was nice since otherwise I have been the picture of frustration on the vidding front. First, I ordered Pinnacle and, somehow, ordered the wrong software. I was going for Pinnacle Studio Plus version 10. I got the Upgrade instead. (and I have nothing to actually upgrade). So, I think, I am going to get a cheap earlier version on e-bay. Well, I do get a good deal but, unfortunately, when I opened my package, I had received the Complete Spanish Learning Suite. Yep, this is almost ranking right up there with that time I bought a new coffeepot at Walmart and came home to find coffee in it. (How nice of them to include my first pot for free). Sometimes, I think I am cursed.

Date: 2005-12-07 01:32 am (UTC)I'm thinking seriously of joining netflix this winter. Would be cheap entertainment we would never have to leave the house for. I know there are a slew of movies I've missed over the last few years. The same goes for shows like Babylon 5. Have to talk it over with the spouse.
Sounds like you have been a busy lady. Enjoy your downtime and good luck with finding the right version of Pinnacle. My computer just won't handle it.

Date: 2005-12-09 10:30 am (UTC)As for Pinnacle, I have installed it...I now need to learn how to use it. Oh boy! I do really like Movie Maker but it's just too unstable.

Date: 2005-12-09 10:32 am (UTC)Thanks for the congrats. You should check out the winner, though. I voted for him or her (not sure) over myself!! There were several entries and they all were very good.
