Scenes from a Walk

gateslackerI decided to take some pictures on my walk today because it has been so pretty and also because I wanted to figure out how to post pic on my lj.
I would have hid them behind the cut but I couldn't get it to work right...Someone will have to tell me what I am doing wrong.
Not a very inspiring name, is it?
I was excited about these two butterflies.
Dogwoods in bloom.
I know I said I love trees and hills, but this particular hill gets me every time. I am usually gasping for air by the time I reach the top. LOL!
This is the house next door to me. It is CRAZY big. It's also the reason I have named my house, The Carriage House...LOL!
Not much else going on here besides the usual household activities. I watched a couple episodes of Atlantis. I wanted to shove McKay out an airlock in one, he got on my nerves so bad. I just wanted him to SHUT UP. There is a big difference between snark and outright antagonism to EVERYONE. It is hard for me to be sympathtic to a character who is rude and sarcastic to people all the time. Small doses, not so bad. He had lightened up a bit during Coup d'etat (sorry if spelled wrong..too lazy to look it up) which was a great episode. I was very anxious throughout because I really didn't know where it was going. And that is the last one I saw so I am still ages behind. Still no BSG or Dr Who, or a bunch of other stuff I have recorded. What on earth am I doing? Is must be all that fanfiction taking up my spare spare time. I am such a fanfic junkie! Tomorrow I get all my hair chopped off. Used to be I would like a style for a little while. Not so much anymore. I want to constantly change it.

You can count on it! It is only a walk away....LOL.
I do love McKay's friendship with Sheppard since it is an unlikely friendship. Reminds me of another leader and scientist but it isn't quite the same. Most times, I love McKay's snark. It's only when it goes over the top and is constant that I think he treats everyone badly which seems to make me unreasonably angry..LOL. I prefer to see the snark tempered with friendship, some respect for the others, and a bit of vulnerability on McKay's part. Hewlett can play all of those so well and I tend to root for him on those occasions.

I have a digital camera. Maybe when it warms up enough to actually roam around outside for an afternoon, I will take some pics of Halifax to share with you.
I love the McKay-Sheppard friendship as well. It is the reason I watch the show. What ep (or eps) was it that made you so angry at McKay?
I recently watched the ep where he first appeared. It was cool to see how much his character has grown.

Date: 2006-04-10 11:24 pm (UTC)I think it was The Long Goodnight where McKay annoyed me moreso than usual. I think the McKay-Sheppard friendship is what redeems McKay to me sometimes. I enjoy his character when he is not yelling all the time and generally being an over the top ass to everyone. I like the snark but sometimes I think they go too far.
