I have been watching Dr. Who on Sci-fi channel and though it has, like, a bazillion seasons, this is the first time I have ever been able to see it. So, what, they change Doctors (or bodies?) every season or something? The season finale was terrific even if I did miss a few eps along the way but I was rather fond of this Doctor, even if he is the only one I have ever seen. This just makes me sad. It sortof reminds me of how I felt at the end of season one on B5, only worse. I'm not so sure I want to get attached to another one.
Total Bummer!!!!!

Date: 2006-06-16 06:45 am (UTC)The original series went through quite a few Dr's!
I've yet to see either season. Saturday night at 7pm is not a good time for me to get hooked to a new series.

Date: 2006-06-16 11:12 pm (UTC)Most actors stayed between 2-4 years. The actor to stay the longest was Tom Baker. He stayed for 7 years (1974-81). I have seen a lot of eps with Tom Baker and Colin Baker (who are not related). I have only seen bit and pieces of the other doctors.
It has a very fascinating history covering the last 43 years. I just love the show. : )
