I shouldn't be updating at this moment because I am a bit gorggy and have this desire to just type blah, blah, blah, blah as my entire post but, since I am sure that would totally bore everyone, I am resisting that urge at the present time.

The weekend went well, busy as usual, but nothing that made me want to throw up my hands in despair. We had this little 100 year old patient who had a heartrate in the 30's, couldn't hear thunder and totally kicked the asses of 5 various and sundry health care workers with her infintessimally small bladder. Why oh why did they put her at the end of the hall. At some point it was, no it's your turn...no, it's your turn..LOL.  (TP etiquette 101: Elderly people crack me up with their toilet paper. They fold and straighten it and even if you think you are being frugal when you hand them the paper, you always give them too much because they take it apart and use, like, two sheets.)    She was very spry. Who knows what sort of mischief she can get up too if they actually decide to put a pacemaker in her.

I got home and was determined to exercise and then watch Gate before taking a nap. Egads it was muggy even though the temp was only 74 (at 07:30 am). That and the fact that I just spent 12 hours in the ER made it a wee bit more difficult than normal. After I got back, I watched Gate and what can I say, into every season a dud must fall. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the characters so much that I am able to get something out of every episode. I liked all that Landry and Mitchell stuff, though I think it would have been great fun to see more entire group scenes at the cabin because the poker scene at the end gave me quite the chuckle. But, I have never been much for monsters. I also need to STOP reading reaction posts because there are spoilers there and I know it but I have been reading anyway since I have to wait till Monday to watch the eps. The hunt for the creature was yawn inducing (and not because I was sleepy) and the mystery surrounding it's origin wasn't very mysterious. (again somewhat my fault because I had been spoiled.) Landry's birdcall was totally priceless as was seeing him in that boonie! Only the character interaction kept me from switching off and going to bed.

I finally managed to watch King Arthur last week. I know this movie has been out for ages and ages. What can I say? It seems that I will see movie previews that I am interested in seeing but since I don't really have the opportunity to get to the theater all that often, I actually forget what I wanted to see. So, when I saw that this was being shown on one of my free movie channels I said, "Didn't I  want to see this?" and recorded it. That was several weeks ago and it was only last week that I watched. And Gee whiz, I do believe that Clive Owen is THE most striking Arthur I have ever seen! I couldn't keep my eyes off him. Yowza!!! I understand that the Arthur story has been told so many times that you have to do something to make it new. Muck around with the story a bit. And, realistically speaking, I do believe that this is how it could have gone down. In any case, I am always super hugely annoyed when Guinevere is portrayed as some kick butt warrior type. Gah! And I was super annoyed here. Maybe it is because I can't decide whether I actually like Keira Knightly or not. Plus, it's not like I don't enjoy watching female warrior types kick butt. I was HUGE Xena fan back in the day. I am currently enjoying the kick butt antics of Sydney Bristow as well so it's not like I don't like that sort of thing. I think it becomes annoying because it seems like some PC move on the part of directors these days and while I could accept the Guinevere in the movie as a spectacular archer taking down some of the Saxons and even defending herself, I was superbly annoyed when she joined, nee, practically led a contingent in the battle (Badon Hill?)
