Well, here I am just typing away, oblivious to the death throes of this computer. I guess I think if I ignore it it will go away. Never mind that I have to reboot it every day and it takes an eternity for everything to come up. I really, really didn't intend on purchasing a new computer at this time but, you know, I gotta have it. Playing about on here comprises a great deal of my free time. I may go pricing this weekend...that is, if this thing doesn't go belly up and force me into action. The only thing I have managed to back up are eps that I have downloaded. Then I ran out of CD's! It takes so long to burn data onto them as well....GRRRRR.
We had a wonderful weekend. I was glad [livejournal.com profile] de23 and I decided to stay that extra day. We sat around the fireplace just talking and hanging out. It was great. There was quite a bit of snow but, imagine this my fellow Tennesseans, there are road crews out there that actually clear roads. Yes, it is true. EVEN those made of gravel. Shocking, I know. You just have to see it to believe it. Brandon had fun but decided on the way back to have his monthly meltdown. Yes, I thought his head was going to explode. It was really rather dramatic. I had to be all stern mother like and he calmed down so all was well.

I haven't had much time but last night I got around to watching the Gate special. Oh my. I am so pumped about the rest of the season I can hardly stand it. And, didn't MS, RDA, and JF look simply scrumptious. Yowza. That much Hotness at one time should come with a warning label. "The contents of the following presentation may be hazardous to your health. Swooning may result in a severe concussion. Viewer discretion is advised." And, if that wasn't enough, I then watched the Series premier of Battlestar Galactica. WOW!! I haven't seen a new series that is that well done in a loooooong time. Bravo! You all know where I am going to be holed up on Friday nights. THREE hours of great storytelling on one night. That has to be some kind of record. Ladies, we are gonna have to rethink our chat time

Sounds like good times. There is something very special and comforting about sitting down with old friends who know and share your history. The inside jokes, the memories: a lovely way to spend a few hours.

Yikes on the computer. I hope it doesn't keel over before you get all your stuff burned off.

As for chat. It's going to be difficult for everyone. K mentioned Saturdays but I know I can't be counted on for those nights. Hubs is home and we are often out and about or just spending time with one another after the kids go to bed. I hear Battlestar is good, mom is taping so I'll watch when the tape is full. As for The Lowdown-uh can we say THUNK!!!! RDA lookin' mighty fine indeed. I'm curious about the second half of the season.

Hope to see you late on Friday.

(((((hugs)))))
