Completely Irritated

I am in a sour mood related to class issues. Due to technical difficulty, I was unable to log in to my class and finally had to call the tech support people and, though I am now in, I STILL don't know why I couldn't get in in the first place. In any case, now I feel behind. What has caused my unceasing irritation is an idiotic lack of planning from one of the instructors. Last semester, there was a snafu with the book listed at the bookstore for one of my classes and what edition the instructor really wanted. It didn't really matter because I had trouble locating a copy in the first place. So, this semester I was going to wait till I actually logged into the class before I ordered my books. However, when it didn't appear that I was getting into webct anytime soon, I went ahead and ordered because, after all, they expect you to have your books before the semester starts and I feared getting behind. After I had already ordered them, I finally got into my class and, guess what, the professor wants the very latest edition. She goes to all this effort on class content and structure but fails to notify the bookstore of a change in the required text!?! It is beyond ridiculous made even more so by the fact that this isn't the first time this has happened. What is wrong with these people? Since this IS an online course where books are bought based on the information in the initial online syllabus and bookstore listing, doesn't it EVER cross their minds to check this first. EVER!!! I am already overwhelmed about the work ahead of me and I haven't even really got started. Of course, I work the next three days. Hopefully, my books will arrive before Sunday.

Gah, I really should go watch The Quest, part two to cheer myself up a bit.

I added Bleak House to my ever growing pile of books to be read. It looks like I will get to all these books, oh..maybe in the summer. I also worked on my JohnCam vid. It's gonna only be 22 seconds long until June, I suppose. But I'm really pleased with what I have so far. I also finished series two (such that it is)  of Red Dwarf and it was completely hysterical. I suppose at some point Kryten becomes a regular? I about wet my pants when he was watching the android soap opera and when he goes for tea to serve to Rimmer, Cat, Lister and the skeletal remains of Kryten's shipmates.
                    Rimmer: They're dead.
                    Kryten: But I was only gone for two minutes!

when my hubs was getting his masters he had online courses and ran into the same shit, now he is the online instructer and he knows presicely what books he will need and he lets folks know ahead...yet still runs into problems cuz the dang bookstore doesn't get them intime. OY VEY!!

red dwarf....absolutely freakin hilarious. Kryten is the best and then the Cat IMHO.

I haven't really settled on a favorite, yet. Of course, Kryten was only in that one ep this go round. I love Cat's cufflinks on his spacesuit and his encounter with Dog....ROFL!
