The Shroud

In a word

FANTABULOUS!!!!!!!

It didn't quite go down as I expected but the ep was still great! Daniel was suitably creepy as a Prior and it is a credit to the writers/actors that I wasn't sure whether he was a good guy or a bad guy till the very end. I kept changing my mind! Jack was the Jack we know and love and it is good to see that RDA and MS still have that great chemistry. It was also notable that the whole team, with Jack included, really gelled. It was as though Cam and Vala had been there since the very beginning! Woolsey manages to exude that wonderful quality of an antagonist with good intentions and it was nice to see how the encounter with Kalek influenced his actions. (continuity alert!)

What else?....A reference to Jack's torture by Baal between Jack and Prior Daniel...It's about TIME! (More delicious continuity!!)

Vala's serious conversation with Daniel about trust with regards to the sheer scope of the situation. (I just love the two of them!!!)

Sleepyhead, Sunshine, and the Hair Ruffle.

Great lines that were too numerous to count.

All in all, the episode managed to surprise me/keep me guessing. The fact that it was filled with great character moments was the icing on the cake!!

Thus far, the second half of season 10 has had some great episodes. If Stargate has to go, at least it is going out on a high note. These episodes have certainly made me glad that there are at least the movies to look forward to!!

I'll be getting the episode from a friend tomorrow. Your comments have me feeling optimistic and that's a nice change.

Well, no matter what you think about it, there IS lots of Jack goodness to be had. ;-)

SGUEE!!!! I just finished watching it. I don't how it is possible but Daniel looks even more awesome on my 19 flat screen monitor. : )

It wasn't as angsty as I thought it was going to be but I still like how it all came together. Jack just fit right in like he never left. I like how Daniel scared Woolsey. At the end when he beamed over to the Ori ship and told Adria he did it all for her, I almost believed it. The ending was a shocker. All those new ORI ships. Are the Ori dead but their followers are still going to continue the fight? Hmmmm? : )

Me too! I was never really sure, throughout the entire episode. One minute I'd think, "yeah, he's telling the truth." The next I'd think, "no..he is up to no good...don't believe him, don't believe him!!"

I really liked it but it made me miss having jack about - it showed what they lost with him gone. Then again I've really enjoyed most of this season against my expectations so . . .

True. It IS possible to miss Jack but still like the current team.

Of course, I am really hoping to see them all in the DVD movies!!

And that is the true mark of someone with an open mind...that you enjoy in spite of your expectations.
