It seems that the enormous pressure in my head has let up but I think the snot has congregated behind my ears and is heading in the general direction of my lungs. LOL, I don't get this sort of thing often, but when I do it always follows the same pattern. Strangely, the whole snotty gunk has killed my taste for coffee and I am actually drinking hot tea. In the AM, of all things. I did manage to finish my paper last evening and, after submission, I thought I had a wee bit of time to sit down and watch either BSG or Ruby in the Smoke. Imagine my dismay when I discovered they weren't there!! I got an error message about being unable to obtain the file on the HDD..whatever that means (though I have a sneaking suspicion it means the whole thing is now corrupt.) Unfortunately, it gets worse. When I attempted to watch anything previously recorded, such as season 10 of sg-1, or anything that had been protected from deletion, I got the same message. ARGGGGHHHHH!
I couldn't figure it out so I threw in the towel and watched some more of the spectacular Red Dwarf. Perhaps it will all have magically fixed itself today, though I highly doubt it.
Brandon got a snow day yesterday and school is an hour late today. Of course, my sister woke me up to tell me that, yes, Subway did burn and the whole thing was gutted. She said, "tell Brandon I'm sorry". ROFL!! He loves Subway and we hardly let a week go by without eating there. I've consoled him with the hopes that they will rebuild.
Today, I have to go in to work for a medical screening for my health insurance policy. The conspiracy theorist in me believes there are ulterior motives to this sort of thing. Our health care system is so whacked but I won't rewrite my paper here! I suppose when it eventually implodes, they will have to fix it. However, if you are interested check out The Kaiser Commission and read some of the reports and info there.
Edited to add: Well whaddaya know, the DVR did magically fix itself! But, is it only temporary????
