I have never tried this so who knows what will come of it. My new camera recorded this video of Brandon's band concert this evening. I wanted a nice camera that also took nice video with good sound instead of a camcorder that took stills. I was impressed with the sound quality and image I was able to get. You will have to excuse my zooming and otherwise moving the thing around. It has an image stabilizer for video and pictures otherwise it might have been worse since I have no large tripod. I've never used Youtube either though I have watched vids from there. I don't know how they alter vids during upload or how the quality is with them so, here goes.

Anyhoo, check it out if you wanna hear a rousing rendition of Old MacDonald and an especially superb turn on the Xylophone...LOL!!!

Well I can already tell that Brandon's school concert sounds a heck of alot better than ours do! Great job B!

I now have four vids on youtube and I don't think the service has modified them in any fashion. I had to render them smaller because the originals exceed the size limit but that's the extent of the changes for me.

Post more hon!

The sixth grade actually has quite a few members, almost as many as the seventh and eighth grade combined. I wonder how many will stick with it?

Brandon has already asked for a drum set for his B-day so I am hoping that he does intend to stick with it.

Oh, the early days of band life! I feel like a proud auntie or something. ; )

LOL! I knew my fellow band geek friends would wax all nostalgic and enjoy seeing it! Of course, my early days came much later but that didn't negate that whole band vibe.

Thank you! The camera is a Canon Powershot S3IS. Here is a link to a website (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=144&modelid=13077)
