I have to say that today was the first time in weeks that I didn't wake up feeling as tired as I did when I went to bed. Wonder what is different because it certainly wasn't the sun, which is rumoured to still be out there somewhere but I'll believe it when I see it.

Have I mentioned that I hate winter?

Anyway, I was exceedingly productive at work today so I am really proud of that. Now, I am only a bit behind as opposed to way behind. LOL! A girl at work has asked me to work Sunday for her and I agreed to do so. Therefore, I am taking Friday off to get errands done and get my hair done. Gotta wash that gray right outta my hair.

At home, I have been restoring programs that I had, thank goodness for large e-mail boxes that enabled me to get all the serial numbers and whatnot. I have also been playing with the DVD ripper. It takes a little time to rip things but probably no more than the time it takes to download an ep. I need all of you, well the ones who actually care about Stargate, to send me your favorite action/adventure scene(or two...three). I am in the process of working up an action/adventure vid. Some have made some great suggestions and I would like to work in those scenes that everyone likes.

Now, I wonder just how many mpeg files this computer will hold? They are quite large so I am experimenting with just getting what I need. I had considered just deleting the ones I use when a vid is made but I don't know. I sure wouldn't want to rip them again! Hummmmmm..... Michelle, how do you handle that?

Um, the real answer...? Well, I store all of my vid clips on our server (which has pretty substantial storage space, although I don't know the details) - but I do have to delete a bunch of them from time to time when James starts bugging me about why my particular folder is claiming so much of the space on the server. {ahem} No, really, I try to just keep a minimal selection of the main clips, the ones I've figured I'll be using over and over. Other clips, that I might use just for a particular theme or video, I simply capture, use, and delete. It's a pain, to have to re-capture if you need it again later, but it really does take up so much space to store them.

What do our other vid makers out there have to offer? Should we all just buy some really huge honkin' external hard drive to store all our clips on? ; )
