Ben Browder is doing a Chicago Creation convention. I sure would love to go.........MS is also going to be there. .Aren't these Creation conventions way expensive, though?

But, still.....

Once again I wish to be independently wealthy.

We all wish we were independently wealthy my friend. I think if you can swing it then you should go. Better with a BB and MS loving friend though. Good luck!

Well, I doubt I'll put that much money in to a con. Still, it would be nice.

Creation usually equates to expensive, yeah. In fact, the "gold package" (which includes most everything - sometimes there are even add-on costs that aren't included in this top package) is $379 for the Chicago event. Speaking of add-on fees, there was a message on the Dan/Jan list (several of them go to this con) - or else in one of the Dan/Jan members LJ - that Ben Browder was only doing a limited number of autographs for his appearance at this con, that it was not included in the total package and was - get this - $70 extra. Yikes!

While I will say I had a good experience at the single Creation event I attended, and it is GREAT to be able to see the guests get individual time on stage, have the potential of your 60-seconds of smooze time at the special dessert/breakfast events, and even see performances at the Cabaret show, you've got to be willing to fork out the money for such perks. Which, if I'm gonna pay that much, I'd rather do it in style and go to the Creation event in Vancouver.

At this point, I think I'm leaning more toward Dragon*Con again for my annual trek. I just wish we'd get some info on the guests for that one, but I guess it's still too early. :/

Yeah. Dragon*Con probably won't really posting guests in earnest until April.

But I'm with you. Creation is very much an event you pay for. And, as Rogue discovered in LA, you have to be very clear up front what you're getting for all that money.

Well, if I'm ever independently wealthy, someday, I'll make a con where all of the lovelies are there...just for us!

I was thinking the same thing. I wish I could do that and Dragoncon. At least the flight to Chicago is a direct flight. I hate changing planes and waiting up to four hours for the next one. That is just so annoying!!!!

Would you be interested in Dragon*con again? I think it is a great place for us all to meet up. I think now that we know what to expect we can plan our time better. Personally I would love to get out and see the city at least a tiny bit.
