I don't know why I am updating now as I only have a few minutes before I head to my clinical site. I am having to increasingly add hours as I cannot count any hours when I am seeing adults. Hindsight is 20/20 and I really should have done my peds rotation last semester when the flu hit...LOL. I saw many, many  pediatric patients then. I understand the rule but as participating pediatricians are hard to comeby, most are like me and have to complete the pediatric hours in a family practice setting.

I do like my preceptor, though as he LOVES to teach and challenges me every day I am there. Plus, he is totally into "watch one do one" so that is an added bonus. I have decided that the more hours the better in terms of experience but, with my work schedule, it leaves even less time to study and work on papers.

So, I have been recording the Olympics and trying to remain unspoiled about the events I am really interested in. However, you can't be on the internet and not be spoiled as I saw first thing this am that Canada's Virtue and Moir won the gold! That was a great choice as their original dance had me riveted to the screen! Awesome! Davis and White had me similarly enthralled but I did feel that Virtue and Moir had the better program in the original dance. I'll probably still watch the free dance even though I have been spoiled.

The only other TV I have been watching is FRINGE. I netflixed season one. I LOVE Walter and some of the things he says and does but, even though I like Olivia, it seems that the show is ALL about her.  I would actually like to see some of the other characters developed. I thought that would be the case as the season developed but here I am close to the end of the season and every episode is still all about Olivia. Maybe that will change as times goes on. I don't know why this is vaguely annoying me as I do think her character is compelling and Anna Torv is terrific. Anyway, I do have enough interest at this point to keep watching but I suspect my annoyance might continue to grow if it doesn't even out a bit.

Oops, I better get going or I am going to be late.

So glad you like your preceptor!

As for Fringe, I do think season 2 focuses a bit more on Walter and Peter. I might have to introduce Michelle to the show when she comes to visit. :)

I only have one episode left in season one-the finale. These past few episodes leading into it have been exciting! However, the release date for season two is "unknown".(argh) I may have to see what season two eps are on the WB site as I did watch a couple of eps from that site when I couldn't wait for the mail.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your work and studies.

I love Fringe even tho I do find it gory at times. I so love Walter and Peter. I agree with Sonia that S2 does do more with them.

Yes, I think it is even more gory at times than Bones, and that is saying alot. When you make a nurse go Eeeew, you know it's bad.

Oh, and along a similar theme, as in producer, what do you think about Lost?

I like all of the, what can we call them, flash presents, but they better get a move on if they want to answer questions and tie things up. You know, I am disappointed about the final fate of Island Locke since it appears he is really and truly dead. They built his character up only to have Ben kill him in the real world. What a sad ending for that character and I'm with Pilot guy on the oddity of that funeral.

I am also a bit disappointed about Claire (and I guess Sayid, too, if he will be sharing her crazy fate).

At first I thought these Flash Presents (great name for them) were to show that they would have been better off crashing on the island but now I am not so sure. It seems that everything seems to be working out so far for most of them. I am just waiting for some sort of disaster to happen.

I still have hope for Sayid but Claire seems a bit too far gone.

I think it is interesting that even tho Jacob is dead he is still trying to influence events.

I am hoping that at the end of it all John's life and death as well as the fate of the others will have meaning and have been for a good cause.

I am always befuddled by having to do both clinical and class work at the same time. But at least you have an awesome preceptor. That's not easy to find.

Good luck keeping up with it all!

Yes, it is certainly befuddling especially when you spend some clinical days worrying about how to find time to do the class work. It seems that my attention is always split between thinking about what I need to be doing and concentrating on the here and now. (That goes for days I am at work, too.) It makes me incredibly tired!

Roll on May!!
