Well, thanks go out to [livejournal.com profile] ruralstar who sent me a link to this episode. ((((rural)))) I watched over coffee this morning because, hee, I had NOTHING TO DO  (well, aside from the usual everyday stuff). Let me say that the episode did not disappoint.

Favorite funny line Walter describing poptarts as "delicious strawberry flavored death!"

Even though we didn't get to see the team find Peter, I liked his interaction with the town police officer. I like it that this show can create genuine relationships with even one off characters. I love how Astrid has become Walter's caregiver of sorts and the relationship between these two is so sweet. I love Olivia's faith in Peter, that he would be back and, for a brief moment, I thought that this may be how the episode would end. In my impatience, I wanted a reunion. Well, I did get a reunion and I was not the least bit surprised that Alternate Walter showed up in the end. I thought that they weren't going to give us the big reveal, though, and my heart gave a little flip flop when they did. I had suspected that he was the one that crossed!! OH MY!  Isn't it strange that even though this is Peter's true father, I see him as the enemy? I cannot even begin to speculate where we are going from here!

ETA: Okay, Lost just made me sob. Noooooooooooo!!!

Oh yes! I can't even begin to imagine how it is all going to play out!

I was reading your impressions and you bring up a detail that I also liked and that was the parallel's between the Sheriff's (was she the sheriff...I didn't realize they had partners) and her partner and Peter and Olivia.

It is going to go out with a bang and I just know we will be left wanting more.

When Hurley and Jack started to cry at the end, that is when I really lost it. I always figured this wasn't going to be all happy ending and such but what happened to the Pilot, Sayid, Jin & Sun was a lot to take in for one ep. I am kind of apprehensive about what the rest of the story is going to bring. I think a box of kleenex or two might be needed for the ending.

Well, I lost it when Jin wouldn't leave Sun. I was strangely unmoved by Sayid. Maybe because the action was so intense at that point and then we moved right into the peril with Sun and Jin. They had just reunited! I like how Jack figured out Smoke Monster! Locke's true motives, though I am not quite sure how he figured it out. Maybe when Locke didn't seem too perturbed about Jack not wanting to leave even though he originally said they all had to leave together.
