Who would of thunk it. No offense to the Michael Landon fans out there but the latest Charles Ingalls looked mighty fine! (heads to IMDB to do a search on Cameron Bancroft!) LOL!

I actually enjoyed the  remake of Little House on the Prairie. This mini series remake is far closer to the books, even though it has been awhile since I read them and some of the details may be sketchy. The sense of peril is definitely there, something which the original series lacked despite my great love for it. I am looking forward to seeing the rest.

I actually started a new book today, Northern Lights;, the first in the His Dark Materials series. We'll see how far I get. (sigh) I am so easily distracted.

Wait -- are you talking about the Philip Pullman series? Do you mean The Golden Compass?

And just what is this Little House remake? I've heard nothing of it! Tell more.

Well, the Little house remake is on ABC and Saturday night for the next few weeks. There are five installments (I think!). It's a Disney thing. I thought it was really good and I am looking forward to seeing the rest.

Yes, it is the Philip Pullman series but my book jacket says that the series is comprised of Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass

Could this be another inaptly named trilogy ;-)

That is so weird -- in most editions it is THE GOLDEN COMPASS, but I did find Northern Lights on Amazon. I thought maybe it was a CA or UK thing, but I guess not. I have never seen it with this title!!!

It's a great series.

And now you've inspired me to get LYRA'S OXFORD, for when I'm there this summer. Eeeee!

Oh, and I'll try to find Little House -- thanks!

Oh, Little House - another fond memory from childhood and early teen years. How could I have missed any word of a remake? As Sonia said, please tell us more!!

I only happened on it by looking at an Entertainment Weekly magazine that had a review. I almost missed it because I happened to look at that magazine the very day it aired. I always loved the Little House series, both TV and books. Hummmm...maybe I need to read them again. SNORT! Something else to put on my list!
