Countdown Squee!!!

 Yipee!!! I have just submitted the conclusion portion of my LAST paper that is due on December 3rd. Hee!!

Hopefully, things will be as "very well written" (her words, not mine) as they have been thus far and there will be few edits.

Folks, this could very well be the last paper I will ever have to write! (Maybe) Of course, this professor is also my advisor who keeps urging me to go on and get my doctorate.

I'll never say never because that will get you into trouble EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. But, I'm beat and broke from this whole school thing thus far. I need a break. Truthfully, I like the idea of it moreso than the work part of it.  Plus, if I ever sought my doctorate, I'd want SOMEONE ELSE to pay for it.

Of course, I could get it paid for if I went into nursing education. But, yeah. Public speaking phobia. I do okay in a small, informal atmosphere but add a podium and you can just hang it up. I've been meaning to try a beta blocker at some point to see if that would help me but since I avoid almost all forms of public speaking like the plague, I haven't had the opportunity to ask my doc about trying that.

So, only one more real assignment which is an evaluation of goals and objectives, a proctored exam, and 1 and 1/2 week of clinicals and I will be DONE!!

Plus, I can go see HP and watch the latest Merlin over this weekend with NO GUILT!

Yes, though sometimes I like the act of writing the paper; seeing it all come together, it isn't exactly what I consider fun.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy HP as well. Don't know when I'll ever see it. sigh.

I think you'd be great at getting your doctorate, but I think it would be crazy to suggest that you start it right away! A break is definitely needed! (Plus, wouldn't they rather you get some masters-level experience before going on?)

Yes, I need the upcoming year that is going to make me or break me, so to speak. I'm not looking forward to it because I enjoy being competent and an "expert" so to speak in what I am doing now. And even if I do have a great deal of experience and new found knowledge to back me up, I am still going to be an apprehensive "novice" and I dread that.
