Strange sense of humor

I'm studying for a test and my son is watching The Shining (for the 3rd time) on netflix streaming and laughing all the way through. I tell him that I don't think it's actually supposed to be funny. He says Jack Nicholson is his new favorite actor.

Definitely not a funny movie and a lousy adaption of a classic King novel, though the updated Shining was worse. That said, Nicholson is fantastic as the demented lead. Brandon has good taste!

Yeah, it was the dialogue along with Jack's wild faces and crazy hair that sent Brandon over the edge. I wasn't really a fan of this book so I have actually never watched it.
