Blame it on snow.

Snow! Again!?! I think we have met our quota. This whole snowy winter thing is getting a bit ridiculous, even if I am glad that I didn't have to drive to work in it this time. Last Friday was a wee bit treacherous. Heck, my road to work is treacherous on a good day.

So, yeah, I should be studying but I know I am going to be a bit of a slacker until I am actually able to schedule the exam. (I need deadlines, I suppose) All of the necessary paperwork is in but I haven't heard anything as of yet. My plan for this week was to get out of the house and away from fanfic distractions but I'm feeling rather snowed in today and have no desire to even leave the house.

Have I mentioned that I hate winter? The desire to move is always strong this time of year.

So, Fringe and Chuck are back and I finished season two of The Mentalist in my effort to finally get caught up with that show. However, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't been feeling particularly chatty of late. I have nothing of interest to say. (Assuming I ever did).

I blame it on winter inertia

(Which makes me think of the Massive Attack song, Inertia Creeps, even though 'Inertia' in that song has no bearing on how I used the word and listening to it makes me think it could inspire some mind blowing fanfic. Writers?)

And thanks to de23  for this bit of fandom fun: Ultimate Fandom Tournament  Choosing was rather fun even if those going head to head didn't always make sense. And it reminded me that I will always vote for John Crichton. ALWAYS!! (Do I envision a Farscape rewatch in my immediate future!?!)

And, of course, I am rewatching Merlin as it is being aired on SyFy. I hope those who weren't obsessed enough to find alternate viewing methods are tuning in as well.....

I should start on my first viewing of Farscape. I did see the first season so that would be a rewatch and the rest would the first time. ; ) I guess my own Winter inertia got in the way. I have been on a stargate fic reading binge instead.

I am glad I don't have to drive in this weather. I wish it would snow then maybe it warm up a bit.

Yes! You must watch. I have been on a fanfiction reading binge myself. If you do decide to begin watching Farscape, let me know and maybe we can watch it 'together'. That would be fun and something we don't seem to do anymore. Remember those Friday night Stargate chats we all used to have after we watched the latest episode. Good times!

Maybe we can set a one to three episode a week schedule and pick a good 'posting' day since the multiple person chats would be problematic. It was a miracle that we were all able to have those Stargate chats for as long as we did! At the moment, I am usually off on Friday (unless I work for someone else). We could have Farscape Friday and post about the episodes we watched that week. Or we could pick a day that is less busy for the two of you as it doesn't matter to me. Mary, care to weigh in?

We could start next week and let the busiest person pick the number of episodes she could watch.


As for season 2 of Merlin, series three is airing on Friday and they are up to the 4th ep today. They showed an mini marathon of sorts before the series three premiere and I noticed that they then showed some series one on another day. (I have my DVR set to record all, just in case). You should be getting S3 at least if you set the Tivo dontcha think? I should be getting my S2 DVDs at some point in a few days and I did burn all of the S3 I "procured" to DVD. If worse comes to worse, there is that.

ETA: Maybe I should start a new post inviting others to join in.....

I watch Merlin on tv even though I've seen all the episodes and have or will have all the DVDs. Gotta make sure to support it so it comes back next year.

I watch it too but I'm not sure mine "counts" since I DVR everything. You'd think it would as I am sure there is a way to track it. But they don't like DVR viewers, maybe, because we skip all the commercials.

I'm currently looking forward to my series two DVDs. Yay, commentaries!!!

I think DVR does count as long as you watch it within a couple of days of recording.
