Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] de23 , I was finally able to catch up with the Doctor and I have to say that I really enjoyed the second part of the series even more than the first.  Of course, since I have watched the load of them over the past two days, I'm afraid I can't be more in depth than:

"Oh, I like Rory!"

"Sob! Poor Rory"

"Yay, Rory!"

"Oh no! Not Rory, too" and finally

"Aww, Rory. I <3 you!!"

Other bits I loved included the nod to Jules Vern (at least it seemed very Journey to the Center of the Earth -ish even if there was an allusion to past Who history I'm not privy too), the always engaging ancillary characters (except those vampire girls), the Doctor playing soccer(football, whatever) and the awesome River Song!

I enjoyed the second part better then the first as well. It took me a bit to get used to the New Doctor.

I thought adding Rory to the show was great. As much as I love the relationship between Rose and the Doctor, I do prefer the Doctor's companions to be just friends and not always having some unrequited love for him.

River Song is so fascinating but I don't have a good feeling about her.

Yes, he can't have all of the companions falling madly in love with him. Still, how can they not have crushes on him as he is a larger than life character. Donna was one who was able to hold her own with him.

River Song is fascinating but it seems there is gonna be some sort of drama there. Just trying to keep up with her timeline compared to his is a job since it is so asynchronous. Oh well, that's time travel for ya.
